山东大学文学与新闻传播学院简介

山东大学素以文史见长,文学与新闻传播学院在百年山大的发展历程中一直占有重要的地位,1901年山东大学成立之初,即设有文学科目。二十世纪三十年代,杨振声、闻一多、舒舍予、梁实秋、沈从文、游国恩等一批大师、学者和著名作家云集本院,为山东大学的校史增添了光彩;建国之初,著名学者王统照、冯沅君、陆侃如、高亨、萧涤非、吕荧等先后执教本院,进一步奠定了山大以文史见长的传统。新时期以来,学院在教学、科研和学科建设等方面又取得了长足发展,已经形成了学风扎实、实力雄厚、学科健全、学术梯队分布合理、教学质量优秀、学生工作异彩纷呈的良好局面。至2004年9月,学生总数1384人,其中博士生150人,硕士生307人,本科生927人,高职生97人;教职工总数105人,其中专任教师87人,在岗教授40人,副教授30人,博士研究生导师25人,硕士研究生导师61人。现任院长郑春教授,院党委书记张桂珍。
  20世纪三十年代,山东大学即开始建设文学院。五十年代初,撤销学院建制,设中文系。1996年8月,以中文系为主体恢复文学院建制。2000年7月,新山东大学组建后,文学院更名为文学与新闻传播学院。目前,全院有中国语言文字学研究所、中国古代文学研究所、中国现当代文学研究所、文艺理论研究所、比较文学与世界文学研究所、新闻学研究所、传播学研究所、美学研究所、大学语文研究室等9个实体研究所,有7个非实体研究机构和1个研究室。学院另设有行政办公室、党委办公室、学生工作办公室、团委办公室、本科生教务办公室、研究生教务办公室、继续教育办公室等相关教学管理与辅助机构。学院定期出版学术刊物《人文述林》、《现代文秘》。
  学院前身中文系在50年代即开始招收研究生。1981年国务院恢复学位制度,学院首批获得硕士与博士学位授予权。1997年获得博士生学位一级学科授予权,现有6个博士点和9个硕士生点招生。1994至1996年,文艺学、中国古代文学、汉语言文字学、中国现当代文学四个学科先后被评为山东省重点学科。1997年,“汉语言文学”学科被整体列入山东大学“211工程”重点学科建设规划。2000年12月,以文艺学科主体组建的山东大学文艺美学研究中心,被批准为教育部全国高校人文社科重点研究基地。2001年1月,本院被人事部批准设立博士后流动站。2002年1月,文艺学学科被批准为高等学校重点学科。2004年,中国语言文学专业在全国一级学科整体水平评估中名列第五位。
  学院现有中国语言文学、新闻学、广告学三个本科教学专业。1994年年首批入选国家文科人才培养和科学研究基地,2001年顺利通过一期验收,被评为优秀基地。多年来,全院教师专心教学,致力科研,取得了一大批在学界广有影响的科学研究成果。近三年来,共出版学术著作150多部,学术论文700多篇,获省部级以上奖励近30项。毕业生素质高,工作能力强,就业面宽,深受社会各界的好评。从学院毕业的大批优秀毕业生走上了各级重要领导岗位或成为专家学者。
  学院设有为教学、科研服务的资料室、语音室、微机室、局域网、新闻实验室和多媒体教室等,办学条件和设施优良。学院资料实现藏书近30万册,图书收藏量(特别是古籍)在全国高校文科院系中名列前茅。学院还与北京大学、复旦大学、南京大学等14所国内重点高校建立了长期合作关系,与美国、日本、韩国和港、澳、台等国家和地区的高校建立了较稳定的学术关系,并与大众报业集团共建了“山东大学大众新闻传播培训中心”。

School of Literature & Journalism
  Shandong University has generally been distinct for its studies on literature and history, and the School of Literature and Journalism has always played an important role in its 100-year development. Just after its establishment in 1901, Shandong University set up the discipline of literature. In the 1930s, a group of great masters, reputed scholars and writers such as Yang Zhen-sheng, Wen Yi-duo, Shu She-yu, Liang Shi-qiu, Shen Cong-wen, You Guo-en and others converged on the school and increased splendor to the history of Shandong University. At the beginning of P. R. China, Wang Tong-zhao, Feng Yuan-jun, Lu Kan-ru, Gao Heng, Xiao Di-fei, Lv Ying and other distinguished scholars taught at the school successively, further settling the academic tradition of the university. From the new age on, the school has gained considerable progress in teaching, research and discipline construction, thus has formed a favorable prospect of solid academic atmosphere, strength and disciplines, sound division over academic groups, excellent teaching quality and colorful student activities. Up to September 2004, the student population had totaled to 1,384, of which 150 are doctoral candidates, 307 are postgraduate students, and 97 are professional students. The school now has a faculty of 105 members, including 87 fulltime teachers, 40 professors, 30 assistant professors, 25 doctoral supervisors and 61 graduate tutors (including the doctoral supervisors). Prof. Zheng Chun acts as the current Dean.
  The 1930s saw the establishment of the School of Literature, which was transformed into the Department of Literature in the early 1950s. Later in August 1996, the institution of school was resumed mainly dependent upon the Department of Literature. After the new Shandong University was founded in July 2000, the School of Literature was renamed the School of Literature & Journalism including 9 essential research institutes of Chinese Language & Philology, Ancient Chinese Literature, Modern & Contemporary Chinese Literature, Literary Theory, Comparative Literature & World Literature, Journalism, Communication, Aesthetics and College Chinese. The school houses 7 inessential research institutions and 1 research units as well. There are also relative teaching administrating and auxiliary bodies such as Administration Office, Office of the Party Committee, Office of Student Affairs, Office of the Communist Youth League, Office of the Undergraduate Teaching Affairs, Office of the Postgraduate Teaching Affairs, Office of Adult Education and etc. The school presses the academic periodicals Humanity Exposition and Modern Secretaries.
  The Department of Literature, the predecessor of the school, started to enroll postgraduate students in the 1950s. When the State Council resumed to confer the academic degrees in 1981, the school became one of the first schools to be approved to award the master and doctoral degrees. In 1997, it was approved the first-level discipline to award the doctoral degree, now owning 6 doctoral degree programs and 9 master degree programs. From the year 1994 to 1996, four disciplines including Aesthetics, Ancient Chinese Literature, Chinese Language & Philology and Modern & Contemporary Chinese Literature were appraised the key disciplines of Shandong Province successively. The discipline of Chinese Language & Philology, as a whole, was listed into the “211 Project” key discipline constructing program of Shandong University in 1997. In December 2000, the Research Center for Literary Theory & Aesthetics of Shandong University set up out of the discipline of literary theory was permitted the key base for humanities and social science studies of the national universities under the Ministry of Education. In January 2001, the school was allowed by the Ministry of Personnel to set up the postdoctoral mobile station. The discipline of literary theory was permitted the key discipline of colleges and universities in January 2002. And the discipline of Chinese language and literature ranked fifth in the all-around assessment of national first-level disciplines.
  There are three undergraduate degree programs at the school: Chinese Language & Literature, Journalism and Advertising. In 1994, it became one unit of the first group of the national base for talent-training and scientific research on humanities and social sciences, successfully passed the first-phase examination in 2001 and was appraised to be the base of excellence. Teachers have always been devoting to the work of teaching and research and achieved large amounts of academic fruits which are influential throughout the academia. In the recent three years, the faculty has pressed more than 150 academic writings, issued over 700 pieces of academic articles, and gained nearly 30 provincial or higher rewards. Processing perfect quality, strong working ability and wide adaptability, the graduate students are well accepted around the society. Great amount of graduate students are now working at various important leading positions or becoming scholars and experts.
  The school is well equipped with reference room, phonetics room, computer room, LAN lab, news lab and multi-media classroom serving for the teaching and research. The reference room owns nearly 300,000 books. Its collecting amount (especially on ancient books) is among the best in national university schools. The school has set up long-term cooperation relationship with 14 national key universities such as Peking University, Fudan University and Nanjing University, built stable academic relationship with universities at U.S.A., Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other countries or areas, and constructed the “Training Center for Mass News and Broadcasting of Shandong University” together with Dazhong News Group.
  According to the principles of “depending on the division and leading collectively; depending on the institution and improving the rules; depending on democracy and respecting teachers”, faced with the excellent opportunity for the development of Shandong University in the new century, all the teachers and students of the School of Literature & Journalism will carry forward the cause and forge ahead into the future, and work in full cooperation and with unity of purpose. They will cultivate and struggle assiduously to create the brand-new glory of our school with full enthusiasm, enterprising spirit and solid work.
